The SS316L pH sensor operates based on the electrochemical principle, utilizing a glass pH electrode and a reference electrode to measure hydrogen ion (H⁺) activity in water.
pH-Sensitive Glass Membrane – Reacts with H⁺ ions, generating a small voltage.
Reference Electrode – Provides a stable potential for comparison.
NTC Temperature Sensor – Compensates for temperature variations to ensure accuracy.
Signal Conversion – The voltage difference is converted into a 4-20mA or digital (RS-485) output for easy integration with controllers and data loggers.
The Modbus/RTU protocol allows seamless communication with SCADA, PLC, or IoT systems, enabling remote monitoring and control.
Use pH 4.0 and pH 7.0 (or pH 10.0) buffer solutions.
Immerse the sensor in each buffer and adjust readings via the connected controller.
Installation: Mount the sensor using the 3/4" NPT threaded connection (immersion or flow-cell setup).
Stabilization: Allow 1-2 minutes for the reading to stabilize.
Data Collection: The sensor transmits real-time pH data via 4-20mA or RS-485.
Rinse with distilled water after use.
Store in pH 4.0 or KCl storage solution to prolong electrode life.
